The 2015 dates for our SLC fundraising at Oceanfront Gaming in Hampton have just been announced.  The doors will open sooner, too, from 11am to 1am.  The 2015 dates are

October Board Meeting is Rescheduled

The Oct. 21 meeting of the Seacoast Learning Center board is rescheduled to Oct.14.  The time and location are unchanged: 6:30pm in the center conference room.

Ride2ReadNH Postponement

We're sorry to announce the Oct. 4, Ride2ReadNH motorcycle fundraiser is indefinitely postponed.  Our parent corporation had insurance concerns we could not resolve to the satisfaction of corporation representatives and their preferred insurance provider through our purchase of specialty event insurance.

We hope their concerns can be resolved so our fundraiser can be held in the spring.  Online registrations for the Oct. 4 ride will be refunded.  Thank you for your understanding.

10th Annual Fundraiser Golf Tournament

June Board Meeting is Rescheduled

The Tuesday, June 17 board meeting is moved to Wednesday, June 18.

2nd annual Run To Read 5k

Coming up on April 5 is the 2nd annual "Run to Read 5k" fundraiser for the Seacoast Learning Center.  It is held in Rochester, NH.  For more information, flyers, etc. visit www.seacoastlearningcenter.org, where there is also a tool to donate online.  The registration site is www.running4free.com.  If you can't actually participate but are willing to work to help us remediate dyslexia, please attend as a worker.

Leadership Change Announcement

Ms. Michelle Tommasino of Amesbury, MA, has resigned as Director of the Seacoast Dyslexia Center for personal reasons. Her last day in the center will be March 13. Brenda Peters has been appointed Interim Director of our Center in Rochester. Ms. Peters is fully trained and experienced in a variety of areas of Special Education. The Center will be open through this leadership transition.

SLC Board Meeting 02/18 is Rescheduled to 02/25

The Seacoast Learning Center meeting of the Board of Governors scheduled for February 18 is rescheduled due to a snow storm.  The new meeting date is Tuesday, 02/25 (not Thursday 02/20!).

Open After Winter Break

The Seacoast Learning Center warmly welcomes our children and families back to the Center after the Winter Break.  The winter session begins January 13.
