Charitible Gaming for Seacoast Learning Center

One of the financial supports for many non-profits in New Hampshire is Charitable Gaming. This program connects approved gaming places with various charitable entities. The gamer cannot operate without a daily license. Charities interested in income from this source register with the state to qualify to purchase 10 licenses. These licenses are, by mutual agreement, made available to the gamers so that they can operate. The non-profit receives 35% of the take on that day, minus prize money.

There are hundreds of Charities that participate in this program. This group includes various clubs and organizations. There are youth sports teams, ladies clubs, and just about every kind of organization that are approved.

The Children’s Dyslexia Center of the Seacoast is one of these charities. Our Center has an agreement with Oceanside Gaming on Hampton Beach. There are no restrictions on who can participate in the gaming. Our participation is limited to providing the license. On the nights we are the Charity there will be a sign indicating that “Tonight’s Sponsor is the Children’s Dyslexia Center of the Seacoast”. At some point in the evening a designated member of the Board of Governors of the Learning Center will stop in and sign necessary documents. The Center will have the earnings directly deposited to our account.

The days and nights we are sponsoring are (2013, noon to 1am):
      04/03 & 04,
      05/05 & 06,
      06/02,
      07/12,
      08/27,
      10/05,
      12/04 & 05

There will also be “Back Room" entertainment with a separate admission on many of the nights; details will be provided as they are available.
